The ODI Roundtable Series

We don't ask "What's the problem?" We ask "How do we solve it?"

 

The Open Doors Initiative Roundtable Series brings together the people best placed to solve Ireland's biggest employment and inclusion challenges.

Designed as collaborative strategy sessions rather than conferences or panel discussions, each roundtable convenes business leaders, policymakers, academics, industry experts, stakeholder organisations, people with lived experience and civil society to co-create practical solutions to complex societal issues.

Every discussion is grounded in evidence, informed by lived experience and focused on one key principle:

How do we move from awareness to action?

The insights generated through each series are translated into research papers, business roadmaps and policy recommendations that support organisations and government to deliver measurable, lasting change.

Every roundtable follows a structured, evidence-led process that combines data, lived experience and cross-sector expertise to produce meaningful outputs that influence policy, organisational practice and public conversation.

Key Principles

Co-created: Solutions are developed collaboratively with those who understand the challenges first-hand.

Evidence-led: Research, national data and international best practice provide the foundation for every discussion.

Lived Experience: People directly affected by the issues are central to the conversation, not consulted after decisions are made.

Action-Oriented: Each session is designed to produce practical recommendations rather than theoretical discussion.

Cross-Sector Collaboration: Business, government, academia, NGOs and community organisations work together to tackle shared challenges.

Designed for Impact: Insights are captured and transformed into publications, policy recommendations and practical frameworks for implementation.
